ALL Accor+ Explorer Membership Discussion

How often do RHR appear and are they limited to Australia?

If I join now and am already gold I will get 30 status nights - how long before I have to get the extra 30 nights to be platinum?
If you are already gold now from 30+ stays in 2026, getting A+ now will get you straight to platinum for rest of 2026, and whole of 2027 (i.e. until 31/12/2027). However, if you are gold from spending, then A+ 30 bonus nights might not do much for you in 2026, so you might as well wait until January 2027 to sign up/renew.

The key questions you need to ask yourself in my opinion is whether you want to hit platinum ASAP, and if not, how long it will take you to rack up 30 nights in 2027 - as that is when you will hit platinum in 2027 if you sign up/renew in January 2027.

If I get Explorer now to take advantage of 3,000 bonus points and become gold will gold last till end 2027?

I have just requalified Plat for '27 - if I buy explorer next year - will it lock in Plat for '28?

This is my last year of business travel and probably won't get close to Plat renewal next year - but am planning a few trips in Asia in '28 so it would be handy to have then.

I let explorer expire in June - no real need for it this year.

As aikman said, that perk is discontinued.

Some other options still currently remain eg AccorPlus China and Signature. Not sure how those will shake out in 2027.

So my Accor plus Explorer renewed yesterday, with a charge made to my credit card. Well, actually it renewed nine times and made nine charges. 😳

Only noticed today and almost at the same time, I got a call from Accor in Sydney acknowledging and apologising etc. Etc. Saying that the funds will be reimbursed and 6000 points for my trouble. And saying they fix it so it won’t happen again.

Wonder if I’ll get the points for the $3000- odd of bogus charges?

Just reading back on the thread, and curious whether this resolved as expected (or better) or worse?
The journey continues - I referred my friend on the email link that I received - neither of us have received our dining vouchers. We have both followed up with the Accor help and I am just in an endless round of questions - can you send the email link (it was on the bottom of the email), can you send your membership number again, when did your friend join?(on the help request), and even a reminder for ME to follow up on the request. This is now over 6 weeks, and we are getting nowhere. Is this not false advertising?

I've got no other ideas, but hope you got a resolution (maybe ask for the equivalent points??)

For those following at home, I didn't turn on auto-renew by 30 September for $349. I'm in the November expiry bucket. Got an email yesterday afternoon offering a renewal at $369 with 3000pts. Offer ends when my membership expires (30 November).

Below is the extracted fine print, so maybe auto renewers also get the points.

To be eligible for the additional Reward points, members must be opted in for auto-renewal or renew before their current membership expiry. This offer is subject to Accor Plus discretion and will be voided if the member cancels for any reason.
