All A380 service between Oz and LHR

Does anybody know when will QF start with their all A380 services between Australia and London? I am booked on QF1 in J class in June and am hoping for it to be on A380.

Welcome to AFF.

I cannot answer your question other than to suggest that you look at the days you wish to travel and then look at the type that is allocated for that day. Be aware that aircraft substitutions can occur at any time, so even if you pick an A380 there could be a B747 substitution. (or the other way around for that matter)

By March 2011, Qantas will an extra four A380s (MSN047, MSN050, MSN055, MSN062). These aircraft will be used to make MEL-SIN-LHR and SYD-SIN-LHR daily, plus MEL-LAX (6x weekly).

At the moment these four aircraft are currently in Hamburg recieving there interiors and paint.

Qantas will also recieve two more A380s later in 2011 (MSN063 and MSN074), But these wont be delivered until at least late Q3.

So it doesnt look like Qantas will be deploying the A380s on SYD-BKK-LHR until late 2011 and early 2012.
