Its on again up to 40% more miles for free here

Has been one of my favourite places to buy miles and book J flights out of OZ and also HKG to USA & Europe.

See Point Hacks advise on using AS miles here

where? looks like it linked to a 2015 promotion?

Edit: found the 2017 promotion

Love AS miles - even more when this discount is running! Have used for QF J Australia-USA, QF Domestic J and CX J & F

We can only travel to Hong Kong using AS miles?

Oh looking again, it's another separate Asia-Asia award on top.

Say you want to go to South East Asia, or Japan. Two awards. Australia - Hong Kong. Hong Kong - Asia.

Is the availability on their website accurate? e.g. I looked in April Syd-Lax and there is a ton of availability flying business return for 85k miles.

Also I'm having trouble logging into buy miles on the website. Anyone else having the same problem?

No trouble for me.... has your account be open for a few weeks ? I think you need to be a member for at least 10 or 12 days before you can buy

I've not found there to be a problem with phantom availability but be sure to click on the blue seat symbol which indicates that part of the flight is another class (e.g. business for the domestic leg, economy on the transPac flight.)

yes good point... mix class is very annoying but quite common

Thanks guys, appreciate the info.

I just opened an account for the wife but did try with my account (never used but received promo emails) and couldn't login.

Another question, can you book flights for other people using your own miles?

How are you seeing return flights Syd-Lax in J for 85k? Cheapest I could find is 55k one way with Fiji Airways.

I am correct in thinking if I was to go SYD - ZRH on CX through Alaska points it would be priced as 2 awards ?

SYD - HKG 30K points and HKG - ZRH 42.5K points each way in J

Thanks for any comments
