AKL-NRT NZ90/NZ99 equipment change to a 787 what business class product?

Hi

Long story but I have some flights booked from NRT-AKL-NRT for January 2027. This week I have had a notification of a schedule change, well its really an equipment change from a 777 to a 787.

Is the 787 used on this route in January likely to have the newer business class product?

It depends on how fast their 787s are refitted. If they are on schedule then you'll be guaranteed as they aim to finish by the end of 2026. But outside of major delays your odds are probably good.
