Has there been any more update on the new lounge at AKL? Last reports were that it was due to open this month. It is meant to be a totally new lounge in a different location of the terminal.

I flew through there the other week and asked and they advised end of August to me too.

Thanks guys. I am planning to fly through around 28th so hope it's open by then.....

AusBT had a Q&A on this yesterday that I saw; apparently opening 29th September (per AirNZ tweet) with media launch a few days prior (per David from AusBT).

Can confirm this, Air NZ tweeted me the 29th release date a few days ago. Fingers crossed it looks something like LAX or SYD...

Does anyone know what will replace the current Koru lounge once it moves to another part of the airport? Maybe Emirates will move there for more space.

I thought I heard that QF were taking it. But don't quote me on that.

I tried the new lounge a few days ago. A big improvement on the old lounge.
