Following on a little from this thread, Australian Airports you have landed at or taken off from. I started wondering in my head whilst going for a walk this morning if I could recall visiting airports with IATA codes from A-Z: (got stuck on g for a long while, but like buses, once I’d thought of one I thought of another two within the next minute)

ABQ
BNE
CNS
DRW
EDI
FRA
GUM
HNL

Q… nothing I could think of
RIX
SIN
TSV
UPG
VIE
WAW
XRH*
YVR
ZQN

*whilst I’ve flown out of this airfield I’m not sure it’s a 100% kosher IATA code.

Q might be difficult. Technically those who landed in Singapore before 1981 may have landed at QPG, but it would have been SIN then.

For me, it doesn't appear on the IATA list, also not sure if it's kosher IATA code, but have flown out of Warren airport in NSW.

X is more common though. A number of smaller airports in Australia have X codes, lots in China (notably Xiamen and Xian) and you can even fly from Singapore (XSB) to Kuala Lumpur (SZB) using X airport.

My sister lives under the final approach into QPG and lives off old Airport Road. But that is more Kallang related than Paya Lebar.

XRH is a valid IATA location code, but then they are location codes not airport codes as such. EG

NYC - New York City
PAR - Paris

IATA location codes are inclusive of airports (single airports) and metro areas / cities (multiple airports).

As Richmond is not multiple airports, it's clearly an airport code.

XRH is a valid code.

Just Q missing.
Only Q, J, U, V, X, Y, Z have less than 5 airports. Other letters generally have many more airports.
Australia 19 letters.
NZ 16 letters.
USA 16 letters.

I've listed a few for NZ, Australia, USA, and some interesting other ones.

I’ve visited QCY plenty of times but always via the front gate in a car/van, so doesn’t count!

I'm missing G, Q, U and X. I have picked one (usually trying to skew exotic) for each other letter, but for many letters I would have numerous.

Missing E, Q and a few towards the end. I do want try taking firefly/MH out of XSP in the near future, and I'll probably get a Y when I finally fly into Canada.
