Airpoints Redemption on Virgin Australia

Can I use Airpoints $$ for redemption on a domestic flight within Australia on Virgin? From the Air NZ site it appears not, although I can earn points on domestic flights which seems a little inconsistent. But just want to double-check

If I can how many Airpoints needed for SYD-Cairns return?

You can, not sure you would want to. 860 return economy or 1280 business. Better off to just buy the tickets IMO

Thanks a lot - you are right I won't be using Airpoints at that cost. Seems like Airpoints $$ are not much use anywhere except on Air NZ
