Airnorth Delays/ Cancellations

On Wednesday 23 May 2016 TL406, the 1600 hours from DRW to GTE did not take off until 1756 hours. The flight is being operated by E120ER VH-DIL - an appropriate registration for a plane that may fly to Dili, East Timor - and should arrive at about 1935 tonight, two hours late.

Flight departing late is nothing new - I've had many delays or cancellations on a lot of different airlines. Annoying sure, but the unknown was whether it was avoidable or not.

On Wednesday 15 June 2016, VH-ANQ (E120) was airborne at 1742 ex KTR (with a timetabled departure of 1700) and so is shortly arriving in DRW at about 1829 hours, 39 minutes behind time.

TL130, the 0700 WTB - MEL (E170 VH-ANT) took off at 0752 hours and should arrive at about 1012, 47 minutes late. This flight is normally punctual but due to wet weather there is congestion in air traffic approaching MEL.

On Monday 1 August 2016, TL130, the 0700 WTB down to MEL took off at 0724 but due to inclement weather will arrive at about 0957, 32 minutes late. Once again the aircraft is VH-ANT.

Like most southeastern Australian residents, I have yet to fly on TL. From what I can observe (although I would never see every flight) its punctuality is generally good (bearing in mind that many of its routes are monopolies, and hence timekeeping is not publicly revealed by BITRE) although on Thursday 6 October, TL333, the 1400 hours mid afternoon scheduled departure from BME up to KNX did not take off until 1804.

Arrival is suggested as roughly 1914, instead of 1510, with E170 VH-SWO undertaking the honours.

Has any AFF member been severly (recently) delayed on a flight of this operator? Perhaps those who work in some iron ore mines use it often enough to have a large number of recorded flights with TL.

On Monday 23 October, TL510, the 0545 hours from DRW up to DIL took off at 0634. Arrival should be at about 0719, 44 minutes behind the timetable. Aircraft is E170 VH-ANF.

Sunday 6 November has TL619, the late afternoon 1705 hours from DIL to DRW taking off at 1749; arrival is expected 67 minutes late at 2002. Aircraft is E120 VH-ANQ.

Monday 14 November sees TL130, the early morning WTB - MEL 0700 hours departure not having become airborne until 0817; arrival should be at 1124, 59 minutes late.

E170 VH-ANV is the 1500 hours from WTB to MEL, TL134. It was airborne at 1553 on Monday 14 November 2016 and should arrive at around 1857 early this evening, 42 minutes behind time.

The 1735 hours Wednesday 16 November 2016 TL183 (TSV up to DRW) is running about 50 minutes late with predicted at gate time 2040 this evening. Aircraft is E170 VH-SWO.

On Wednesday 7 December, TL131 from MEL to TWB is extremely badly delayed and should depart at around 1900 instead of 1115 hours.

The Sunday 15 January TL135 from MEL to WTB was meant to depart at 1855 hours but has been delayed overnight until a projected departure at 0855 on Monday 16.

Probably because of the overnight delayed departure above, TL130, the 0715 hours Monday 16 January WTB - MEL took off at 1050 hours. Arrival should be at 1346 instead of 1040.

Friday 17 February 2017 sees TL250 (E120 VH-ANZ), the 0640 hours DRW - KTR not having become airborne until 0717 hours. Arrival is expected at about 0822, 57 minutes tardy.

Airnorth is usually punctual in and out of MEL but on Monday 27 February TL130 from WTB to MEL (E170 Vh-ANT) did not take off until 0538, 38 minutes after its appointed departure time so arrival is suggested as 0953, 33 minutes behind schedule.

On Monday 6 March, TL130, the 0600 hours WTB - MEL that took off at 0702 (E170 VH-ANT) should arrive at 1003, 43 minutes late.

Friday 24 March sees TL182, the 0630 hours from DRW to TSV (E170 VH-ANO) having taken off at 0654, not very late. However TSV arrival is estimated at 1006 hours, 36 minutes late.
