IndiGo places largest-ever single order for planes, to buy 250 Airbus A320neo aircraft - The Times of India

India's largest domestic airline, IndiGo, has placed the single largest order ever for narrowbody aircraft by signing an agreement with Airbus for 250 A-320neo (new engine option) planes.

This is in addition to another previous order of 280 A320s. This surpasses the order from Lion Air for 230 B737s and 234 A320s. Out of the 280, they have already received 100 and 16 of which have been phased out. Their current fleet is 84.

In terms of list price, this order adds up to $25.5 billion, which is still quite small compared to Emirates order of B777s for about $76 billion.

Good for Airbus. Although I do wonder with these mega orders if they all get delivered.

Before the cancels, deferrals and changing confirmed orders to options?
I think it was 115 to start with.

Didn't QF originally order something like 80 b787's

On 14 December 2005 Qantas announced an order for 115 Boeing 787–8 and 787–9 aircraft (45 firm orders, 20 options and 50 purchase rights).
