Hello, this is my first post on here, I have tried to search for the answer first.

I am travelling MEL-LAX in J on the VA23 in the near future, I am a Velocity Pt member, and originally thought I was entitled to 3 guests, but have since found out this only applies to VA operated domestic lounges. I have two friends travelling on the same flight in Y, and was hoping to guest them into the lounge, possibly using my Pt status AND the fact I am in J.

Has anyone had any experience of this? My previous experience of the staff at MEL AirNZ has been that they are very strict to the point of being abrupt. I watched a number of people being loudly denied access, who then had to take the 'walk of shame' out of the lounge!

Alternatively, If anyone is travelling on that flight with a spare guest allocation, please get in touch, it would mean a lot to me to have my friends share the experience with me before our flight. (not sure if there is a specific place to post this request). I will be travelling home alone on VA24 a week later and would be glad to guest anyone who is on the same flight.

Thanks in advance. V_L
