Made a booking SYD-CBR return on the Virgin web-site and entered my Air NZ FF number. As I am a Gold on Air NZ I presume I can use the Virgin lounges, although have recently qualified and I am yet to receive my gold card.
When the booking came through however a new Velocity number was recorded against it and not my Air NZ number ( I already have a Velocity account but used the Air NZ number in the hope of accessing the lounge).
I called Virgin but got through to a clueless agent who did not know that Air NZ points can be accrued on Virgin, and was certainly unable to enter the Air NZ FF number. Hence I am wondering if it is actually recorded in the booking and hence whether I will be able to use the lounge. Or maybe I made a mistake somewhere in the booking process and have accidentally opened a new Velocity account?
