hi flyers,

quick question,

I always thought if you had a ticket that included a sector within USA then you would be entitled to check in 2 bags upto 32KG each....has this changed ?

Does anyone know what Air NZ policy is. Trying to find on their website but all it says is allowed 23kg.

....want to come back from USA with bag full of cheaps USD$ goodies :)

Air NZ changed their baggage policy some months ago for all flights. In Y/cls you are allowed 1 bag per person up to max weight of 23kgs p/bag. You can go over this up to max weight of 32kgs p/bag, but they will charge you from AUS AUD$50. This also include the flights to the US, which previously was 2 bags but is now 1 bag only.

Hope this helps

An extra bag up to 23kg is the same price (USD$50 ex USA) so that would make more sense methinks....

A shame they dropped it back.. but given the often very good fares NZ offers I suppose one has to look at the total cost...
