Air New Zealand Price Matching Accross Tasman

Just saw a 'Tasman Guarantee' on the NZ website. Similar to the Jetstar guarantee, NZ will match any equivalent fare (excluding business class) across the tasman - (they won't beat it by 10% though).

Not a bad deal if you prefer to fly NZ but like Jetstar or Virgins prices better.

There's no stipulation there about the FFP earn on matched fares.

For a Seat or Seat+Bag fare, such as JQ or DJ, somewhat understandable if the matched fare is Airpoints Status Points only, despite DJ earning status credits and points on absolutely any fare, including GO! fares.

Now matching QF fare to a Works fare, any QF fare (on QF metal) earns QFF (or almost any oneworld FFP) points and status credits, but a Works fare will not necessarily earn full *A credit (cf. only Airpoints Status Points), because low bucket non-flexible Works fares are Smart Saver basis but higher-than-low/lowest bucket Works fares could map to Flexi Saver bases.
