That didn't take long.
Unfortunately the results are disappointing.
That seems to be a Boeing concept picture of a hypothetical cabin in a B748.
It's not actually a real cabin at all.

MEL have you ridden CA F? 747? Origin / Dest? I might just have to transfer a large tranche Citi pts to KF and burn a bunch on *A F options.

As someone who often flies alone, the single seats at the pointy end look very appealing.

IIRC - I think there might only be a couple of airlines offering a single seat in business class at the front of a 747 similar to the picture you posted - which is KLM: SeatGuru Seat Map KLM Boeing 747-400 (744) New Business Pictures here (the second picture): KLM Introduces New World Business Class Seats and Interior | The Gate

Delta has all single seats, reverse herringbone (see towards the end of this report): Delta Airlines B747-400 Business Class Trip Report NRT-HNL-FABFLYER

Vermin Atlantic and Air New Zealand offer single seats, but they are herringbone, facing away from the window rather than towards it.

I wouldn't be running out to purchase or redeem unless CA offered significant advantages of a non-stop flight, or if you couldn't get seats on one of the other carriers. CA can't compete for soft product against the likes of LH, SQ, NH. Service is fine, but the food and beverages aren't in the same category.

There's a trip report here which will give you a general idea: Trip Report & Review - Air China's "Forbidden Pavilion" First Class Beijing-Houston - Point Me to the Plane

Air China is my preferred carrier as far as MEL-China - non-stop, relatively delay-free, and a very comfortable bed. I'm not doing it for the food or prestige. Flights within Asia are also fine, I've used them within China and to Japan etc.

I'd be more than happy to take a combo CA (to China), stop for a few days, and then LH F from China to Europe.
