Air Canada - inability to add Velocity FF number to booking

I have an upcoming revenue booking for 2 people on one AC ticket in September and originally added our SQ Krisflyer numbers at time of booking. I want change my partner's FF number to VA but cannot seem to do it on-line. It gives me VA on the drop-down options but will not accept the number. Do both people need to be in the same program? That would seem odd. Don't really want to ring for such a small change but would rather do the change before the first flight. Any help appreciated.

I think you'll have to call Air Canada to do this.

Thanks, I will. Or might just stay with SQ points. VA Status Credits would be good though.
