Air AsiaX A330 Economy

I am looking to fly from Malaysia to England on Air Asia X A330.
I have looked at the threads on economy seat configuration and I want to make sure that Air AsiaX has 9 seats across as compared to say Jetstar that has 8 across so are the seats smaller? It also looks as there would be more seats in the aircraft?

KL to UK on Air Asia X uses a single leased A340. Not sure about the seat configuration.

The A330 I flew between PER - KL was certainly 3+3+3 at the back.

The A340 to Europe is 2-4-2 in whY. The A330's they buy are 3-3-3
That was as of 3 or 4 months ago, i doubt they would change a lease interior.
