I am having trouble with the flat beds out of MEL in general. You can select a premium fare and this tells you that you are getting a flat bed but when you go to select a seat you are back in the normal Y cabin.
The second flight is in row 1 or 2 but not MEL-KUL.
I also looked at MEL-TPE and MEL-BOM. These were the same result.
Mind you getting MEL-KUL-TPE for about $600 with one of their flat seats would be a great way to connect to a cheap CX deal to JFK/CDG etc.
