Hi there. I am sitting at about 80 days renting so far this year (Is that a lot??) 60ish Australia and 10-14ish in the USA

I have not heard anything from Avis. No "Thanks for your loyalty" No have some free upgrades. Nothing.

Everything is done through Wizard number, so I'm sure they can track my rental days.

I'd love to hear from renters with more and less rental days than me and gauge what they get from Avis.

I have way fewer rental days than you, so don't know what constitutes status with rental car companies.
Is your Avis renting paid for by you ( personally) ? Or by an employer? Even if you are an individual customer, you probably fade into oblivion when compared to really big customers like banks, mining companies the PS etc.
Good luck with getting a result though

It is I, Leclerc !

I have about half the number of days you have. In Australia I have gotten a one category upgrade 5 times this year. Nothing else. For me the benefit of the Preferred program is being able to go straight to the car.
I would love Avis to introduce the First program here. Not sure why they don't have it ?

I've had about 50 days worth of rentals in Aust so far this year and probably get upgrades on half of them. I often find the best chance of upgrades is from Brisbane. I normally book a large car (i45 or Camry) and often get upgraded one class to an SV6 but in Brisbane often end up with a Luxury car. So I can't complain. I do wish they had a loyalty program though.

It is my own company that does the renting.

I've not had a peep out of Avis and I find that a little strange.

Well i am 57 days so far this year with 27 booked for the rest of the year-only 1 upgrade but love going straight to my car,FF points always post quickly and on 1 occasion this year had a "supermarket scrape"whilst in shopping and that was taken care off without any recourse to me so happy.Do get a few emails with specials but so far none at times that I would be renting.
I was with the Hertz program but had more downgrades than upgrades and gave up on FF points posting.

Similar days and rental numbers over the last 2-3 years, I get the odd 1 class upgrade here and there, but that's about it.
Sometimes it sucks to get the upgrade given the fuel inefficiencies of some vehicles. (but no real complaints)

As others have posted, to me its all about speed in getting out of the airport and that's why I use them.
In reference to contact from Avis, I too have had virtually no contact from them at all, I guess that can be a good thing and a bad thing.

I would love the First program to come down here.
The biggest potential benefit for car rental for me would be to return a car without having to fill it up and not have to sell one of my kids to pay for it.

I'd be sitting around 120 rental days now. Not a peep out of them. Nothing.

I have had 300 days in the past and nothing heard, I would not hold out hope, it's also why I don't rent with Avis much, on 200 days with Europcar and saving a bit compared to Hertz/Avis re rates.

Hire car companies show little love to me, sitting on average at 50 to 100 days per year. Europcar seem the most willing to play ball though.

I usually play BFOD/BCOD (best car of the day).

I've heard nothing from them either although I rent using our company's discount code twice a week along my preferred number.

Like others have said the value of walking straight to my car while I smirk at the mile-long taxi line is priceless - I guess AVIS know this and have no competitive need to introduce First here.

It's a new year so I decided to create a brand new Wizard (Avis Preferred) account with Avis. This time in the USA.

So far this year I have 22 days of rentals in the USA and currently 5 days onto a 28 day rental in Perth.

Has anyone here had any updated or old experience with climbing the USA tiers of Avis. Specifically with "international" rentals?
