Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

Except you have the option to request the travel pass instead of traditional flight credit which has no such limitations.

The travel pass puts the credit amount on what is effectively a pre-paid credit card that you can use to pay any amount over multiple purchases. This option offered to all during 2020-21 and there were even incentives to convert flight credits to travel pass such as DSC or double points.

It is clear too many customers fail to read emails.

You should email Joe with this exact post. Even spruce it up a bit with some more condescending language, call him a clown or something. He will probably respond by quoting you in his articles.

I’m being 100% serious BTW. He did exactly that when someone I went to school with emailed him several years back. They tried to take him on about his commentary on Blue Sky Alternative Investments. The series of articles where he continually got a mention were hilarious. 😂

No point, if he doesn't know about the travelpass then he must have slept through the last 3 years. Lazy journalism.

“Lazy journalism”, “slept through the last 3 years” is 100% correct. Also the perfect lines to ensure he responds. Sorry, you may not find winding him up as funny as I would. I may email him myself.

Today’s article by Mr Aston has a look at the performance of Qantas' chief lawyer, Mr Finch before the Senate enquiry.
I saw a few minutes of the enquiry. Those 3 on the Qantas side (were made to) look like incompetent idiots.
I loved the part along the lines of "we ask the questions, you answer them, not the other way round" 😂

Yeah, call wait times have gotten worse again recently, not sure what's up. I suspect they're pulling staff off the premium line to staff the dedicated travel credit line and social media messaging.
What's up is likely that we are entering what is a long weekend for three state (Vic has today off, QLD and NSW have Monday off), and school holidays, and two football grand final games with interstate teams playing. All that leads to lots of demand for flights, changes, and all the usual "can't be done online" things that result in higher call volumes.

Of course this was not unexpected demand. The dates for the public holidays, school holidays and footy finals have been well known for a long time. So poor resource planning/scheduling/rostering is really the cause.

And a PH in SA on Monday too plus start of school holidays. 😉 And maybe some here should have been aware of that too given some of the comments.

Probably should have thought of putting on a few longhaul aircraft on domestic for this weekend, eh? 😁

This weekend's calendar has been around longer than the Wright Brothers.

Qantas's mindset is not to proactively offer practical solutions to well-known issues - or even at all!

They could have quickly won back some punters with some 'loss leaders/break even', i.e. $150 GF Fares ........cheap and effective publicity quite possibly?

One doesn't think clearly in a bunker.

Calling the passengers 'not match fit' comes to mind as well...

They have. My flight to MEL has changed from B737 but to A330 not that I would was5e any time watching football

Consider that it is Virgin, not Qantas, that are the corporate sponsors of the AFL, what extra capacity did they put on, and at what sort of price discount for the punters from the north?
