As we approach the end of another year on AFF, I have been reflecting on the growth of our membership and the vitality of our community. We are no longer just an "online" community. We are a "real" community, made up of real people. Furthermore, we are a social bunch that enjoys each other's company, spending time together and just catching up. This can be easily seen in the increasing number of social events arranged by our members.
To facilitate social integration amongst our members, I am now appointing samh004 as AFF's Social Ambassador. Full details of this role are still to be finalized, but will include:
- Overseeing all social events
- Maintaining the "Meetings and Social Events" forum.
- Consolidating/ maintaining a "diary" of events including offers to guest members in airport lounges
Additional details will be made available when finalised, so watch this space!
Note that this role, like that of the AFF Moderators, is done on a volunteer basis.
Many of you will already know samh004 and appreciate that he is the ideal choice for this important role!
