I sent a feedback to VA's chat agent saying the button on their website isn't working, and if they can have their IT team look into it. I'll try again later/tomorrow.

Yeah, not working for me. It did work once just then but it went to the normal purchase points page and price. not discounted in any way. Then I try again, and "oops something went wrong".

I weighed up whether to transfer my points into Velocity at 2:1 now, or wait for the return of Qatar transfers at 2.5:1. In the end I chose to transfer to Velocity.

I have just transfer over 120K CBA award points to my Velocity accounty at 2:1. Points posted immediately. If I do this from 29 September then the ratio will be 2.5:1 plus having to pay an annual fee of $99

I manually transferred. If I understand correctly, the new Commbank Yello rewards scheme will allow transfers to Velocity at 2.5:1 for an annual fee of $99, and transfers to Qatar at 2:5:1 for free.

Oh, sorry I missed that you were talking about CommBank Yello(w). That scheme seemed pretty useless to me so I haven’t looked closelybut I just checked again and I can’t see anything about points transfers. But I wouldn’t have many points anyway.

I transferred all my CommBank points to Velocity yesterday. The Yellow points seem useless. I am going to downgrade my diamond card to gold.

Anybody used the com bank points as a money discount on hopper/velocity? (Flight and Hotel). Wondering if any value in that prior to straight into velocity points?

Well a 40% discount is a devaluation compared to a couple of years ago when I got 100% bonus points with VA which was incredible value.
The 40% discount if you get over /22000 points means 3 J awards for BNE to SIN or reverse which is reasonable value.
What it shows is the devaluation of KF milled. Transferring from VA to KF now only gets you 2 J awards for the same route. Though you are more likely to get them..

I am consdiering buying some points however when I go to the payment page it is only accepting Apple Pay (I don't use because I have a android phone) or credit card however the address is USA only. I am missing something?

Try an incognito page... these days I have to do everything on VA site in incognito (ETA, I haven't purchased, just making a suggestion)
