We bought Challenger Financial seeing they stopped falling today. It is always difficult to pick the bottom but at a dollar less than the institutions paid seemed ok.
We saved by not taking up the share purchase plan and waiting.

We have to decide whether to bid for Tabcorp shares tomorrow in their special sale. Let’s sleep on it.
Was pleased with NWH report today. We don’t usually invest in contractors but it was a broker suggestion that should work out well.

Yes we are not in Tabcorp nor Crown but Tabcorp Auction is today where you cannot bid final price. We will probably miss them.

We had email delays and they finally downloaded a bit before midnight last night. Included was a Euroz comment to look at Musgrave due to the price drop.
You might wait for a share issue at a discount if you are a sophisticated investor as their cash position is modest the broker note said.
We haven’t bothered owning Telstra for years but around $3 they are probably cheap.Their Foxtel business is in disarray which will be a looming problem.

You probably need some shares in Musgrave to be able to participate in a fund raising. Often the problem is you get an offer for say 25 % more at around 20% lower than your recent buy in price rather than a $30,000 maximum offer. The best offers get rushed so you don’t always get what you want.

I've decided yes for the retail offer. Although I was born with TAH shares... probably explains it. I personally don't think it looks too good for them in the short term. In fact I remember buying at $4 in March sometime... thankfully I moved them on pretty quick when I saw the writing on the wall. Got back in at 2.99

Not to mention the NBN competition. They definitely aren't the monopoly they once were.

Sold Novonix today so if they soar it was us who took the monkey off the share price.
Well that worked and up they went. Still we made a good profit so not a problem really.

Missed the Tabcorp by bidding too low and was not troubled by that. We won’t chase them.
Gascoyne issue is approaching now. First company run by administrators making a profit for years.
Took up our three SYD share entitlements.
Oklo dropped as they are in Mali and there has been political chaos.
Village Roadshow still have not been taken over. Maybe we are Waiting for Godot. In that play Godot does not turn up......

Have spent time looking for something special.
Maybe the reporting system will help us find that special stock.
We have some MBLPC notes that issued at $100 that have been helped by the Reserve Bank saying interest rates were going to stay low for some years.
