Seeing as there is a few AFF'ers in London and I might be visiting soon, would anyone be interested in having drinks there in mid november at some stage?

Sounds like a plan! I'm around in London on the following dates:

Sat 17th - Tues 20th Nov
Sat 24th - Sun 3rd Dec

My diary looks OK for the middle of November right now, so put me down as interested.

I'm off to SIN and Boracay for ten days in mid-November  . I'll keep an eye on this thread though.

My work schedule is getting in the way of a weeks holiday in the US, a US territory in the middle of the Atlantic was looking like a great holiday destination.

At this moment Saturday 17 November is going to suit me best.

Once it is all ticketed, you will see post on the lounge meets thread here and over on Flyertalk.

I have firmed up my travel plans for the UK,

I arrive in the UK on Friday 16 November from Amsterdam and depart 18 November to Japan.

So I am thinking 17 November would be a good evening to catch up.

I still don't have my travel plans ticketed to leave Japan and get home, but Jetstar to Cairns is looking good, because it is cheap.

Sounds OK for me so far....

Choose a location that's friendly to the engineering works happening that weekend

Tube works aren't bad themselves... its just we had a crazy time rerouting to get to paddington last weekend due to the number of closures.

Sent from my GT-I9100 using AustFreqFly

... and given I'd come straight from after hockey drinks with the lads (boy can those guys go at it, I can't keep up!), it made it somewhat more difficult ;)

Any suggestions on drinks + dinner.

I am thinking drinks at an English pub followed by a good meal of Indian curry.

Indian could be the way to go. I've found English pub fare to be depressingly similar and ordinary. No doubt there are exceptions but it'd be a brave man to try and pick one.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I had some excellent "English Pub" fare in Washington DC about 1.5 months ago :p
