You might have noticed a small change ("enhancement" 
) we have just implemented:
We have now included the option to share an AFF thread, Blog Entry or Article on various Social Media sites (such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+) via an icon found on the new horizontal line near the top of most pages. This feature was actually always available for threads via the "share" button. The "share" button has now been removed.
Note that this change has no bearing on the "Like" feature we installed a year or so ago. "Liked" posts are internal to AFF and are not shared with social media sites. You can still "like" a post, by clicking on the "like" button which is found near the bottom right corner of each post when you are logged in.
You also now have the ability to publish a link to your various Social Media profile pages. You can do this at http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/profile.php?do=editprofile. One advantage of doing this is that you could be credited as the Author of any thread you start or blog post.
See image below for what this means in practice. When searching for "Frequent Flyer Credit Cards", Google credits "Katrina Gutierrez" as the author - and even includes her photo!
To achieve this fame, you will need to create a free Google+ account (at https://accounts.google.com/SignUp) and then add your AFF profile page (http://www.australianfrequentflyer.com.au/community/members/**username**.html)
to "Other Profiles" on your Google+ account. Of course there is no guarantee that this will happen - Google works to its own rules, but it should!
