Aeroplane playing cards

Just a set of TG and SQ ones here for me too, both when flying F although I'm sure they were available to pax in Y and J if they asked nicely too ;)

The SQ ones I hang onto because it was my flight when moving from Perth to London, so keep it as a memento. Likewise the TG ones as it was Mrs FB's milestone birthday trip.

Qantas sold their branded playing cards onboard international flights as a part of their Duty Free selections. Cost of a pack was $10. Qantas ended their Duty Free sales on 31st Dec 2017.

I have a TAA pack from 1989 - handed out on a charter flight from Derby (RAAF Base Curtin) back to Sydney after the Variety Club Bourke to Broome Bash.

In those days Broome airport could not handle larger jets.

If I looked *really* hard I could probably locate the tarmac group shot of everyone lolling around waiting to board ;)

Received 2 packs of SQ cards flying SQ F earlier this year when I asked for the teddy bear but they had no stock. How many other airlines still give these out gratis?

Found a few. Mostly from late 80's and 90's however the Australian Airlines orcha must have been in the 2000's.

I honestly don't remember but I did a few flights with them out of Cairns..

I think the front looks like a cartoon skip surfing on a surfboard? That's hilarious if it is (the photo was taken at an angle). You don't often see things like this printed by an airline generally.

I have a Vegemite lunch box (not a plane one ) but I think I might need to scour eBay for those cards. Be a cute novelty for grandson
