I would like to know if I Aegean Miles and Bonus credits you with Miles flown on an SQ ticket and Flt number but on Silkair metal. Any past experiences would help. My booking is on Flexi-saver (W class) for the entire trip. Thanks folks.

Generally speaking no. IIRC, there is only one exception to this: SIN-BWN, where Silkair operate the flight on behalf of SQ several days a week, but do not sell it at all under a Silkair code. This one is, for all intensive purposes a SQ flight.

Thanks again. Travelled a few times in the past on Silk and personally its a discount airline that charges heavily for the food it serves as part of the tariff. Add to that a journey between 4 -5 hours with no entertainment and service that is not really up to the mark. Ask them about IFE and thy will always tell you that they will be introducing it very soon..that was 3 years ago.

Re the entertainment:
keep in mind that Silkair have started getting their 737's to replace the A319/A320s, and they apparently include power outlets in economy and business for your own devices, which is better than nothing I guess.

Won't see it locally in Aus for a little while, don't think the first 737 for MI is due in Darwin until much later this year.

I was looking for this information as well. I have also only had very few good experiences on Silkair that is worth writing about. Average inflight service at best. Nothing close to its famous parent airline.
