There is about a $2.5k diff between and AMEX special on F vs J on SQ to Manchester, on 777-300er.

Trying to work out if the F seats are actually much better than J.

Comments would be appreciated, booking in the next couple of days.

YES there is a very big diff bw F and J seats - and a huge diff between F and J soft product - I assume the 2.5K did is on a return flt and not o/w?

Space. Comfort of bed.
F is worth the 2.5k return difference I reckon. May I ask the prices?

The food and service and drinks are all better too, of course, but not really worth the price alone.

I think SQ were quoting $13440 for F (v $11170 from AMEX) and J was around $8600 (direct with SQ or Amex)

Have to disagree with my good friend CE.
I never book F unless I'm getting a Suite. The F product on the 777 is a marginally better bed than the J bed. Food and wine is way superior in F and you get the private room but would be very hard to eat and drink $2.5k worth of difference, IMHO.
I'd go J and spend the 2.5k on some serious hotel upgrades at destination.
