No Amex offer for me, but did take advantage of the members offer and 10% off. Redbreast 12 was a favourite of my father, so I will remember him when I enjoy this over Christmas.

Laphroaig/Ardberg are good peated whiskies and represent good value for the quality
The Lark Soft peated whisky is very good as well and is a good introduction to this style.
Barrel driven whiskies like Glenmorangie/Lark/Macallan/Balvanie single malts are great
The blended whisky - can't go past Johnny Walker Blue (comes with a $350 price tag)
BUT - before you hand over your hard earned cash at the duty Free store (Sydney) - google Dan Murphy or the The Whisky Club - you will be surprised how often they are cheaper!!!
