Advice on whisky

DM has JAMESON 700ml @ $35.95, today only.

A nice Irish drop @ the bottom end of the whiskies, sometimes see it at close to $50 locally.

Wondering if its worth visiting the Glenlivet distillery when in Scotland?

We are going to visit Glenfiddich and Strathisla (Chivas & Royal Salute)

thanks,

Not qualified to comment Denali, never been to a Distillery or tasted GLENLIVET.

The other two sound interesting :D

Yes, but so are Glenfarclas and many others. Go to Edradour! Much more interesting.:)

Just posted a deal up on Ozbargain - today only, Glenfarclas 21yo for $139 posted, with a free bottle of Duvel 750ml belgian beer! Great whisky, incredible price.

https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/322290

Nicks have it for $145 exclude delivery so not much diff.
Now if only GoodDrop offer is reflected in their eBay shop that would have been fantastic as there is currently 20% off.

I'm not a whisk(e)y drinker, but my son reckons this is a good deal, so I thought I'd post it here (not sure if it should be here or in DM and other wine deals)

Laphroaig Quarter Cask Scotch Whisky 700ml

$80 Yes a very good deal, $135 Dan's and now also reduced at Nicks $85.

When I started drinking whisky a few years ago, this was one I drank and wasn't impressed.
It cost $80.50 from GoodDrop as well. The QC cask strength version Cairdeas 2017 would cost about twice.

Dans will match Nicks online price. They happily matched price for Glenfarclas 21 yo last Friday.

I think I would have a hard time finding a manager at Dan's. Come to think of it does he comes with a Manager tag? :D
So can he price match, use Gift card and goes through PricePal/CashRewards?? :D

Maybe she can, maybe she can't. Given I was buying another $300 worth of scotch maybe she was being nice to me.:)

Don't push your luck.:)

Visited Hobart Sullivans Cove distillery today, about 15mins from the cbd.

$30 taste testing, 3 whiskeys and 1 gin. Gin is about $90,whiskey starts at $170 to French cask $450. About 20 French casks are released per week and sell out quickly.
