Hi everyone
I'd like to send hubby and my father in law to Honolulu for 7-10 days next year, maybe in March/April as it would be great if hubby can take advantage of public holidays... although could certainly do other dates for the right deal, I know peak time is unlikely for a good price.
As hubby is precious and my FIL is in his 70's they can only do this trip if they're going J. I've looked at a number of different airlines and the starting price is JQ at about 8k for both of them which is way out of my budget.
I've looked at using miles with Avianca Lifemiles but no joy with availability etc on the websites.
USAir won't let me input Perth as an airport at all.
Alaska Air keeps giving me an error message.
Aadvantage have nothing in J for the outward trip and only 2 dates coming back in May and June.

Any advice on where to look and what to look out for would be hugely appreciated as I feel like I'm getting nowhere...

I suggest using the QF website to search for "classic awards" to HNL from PER. You may find something via SYD. If you do locate availability you will have to ring US airways to book this award. The reason you cannot find PER on their website is because partner awards must be booked over the phone.

If you're looking to fly them from PER, then there are lots of options on Lifemiles. Just looked now and can see 2 J seats from SIN-HNL via ICN on 2 April (a day before Easter break) and return on 13 Apr (same way or via NRT). Also options for UA in F quite regularly pop up from SIN-HNL via NRT (I'm taking 4 of us in UA F there in Sept). Look to book them in separate legs from PER-SIN and then SIN-HNL. Book the PER-SIN seats in J T-14, the SIN-HNL seats will have multiple options appear now depending on date.

The Frequent Flyer Concierge team takes the hard work out of finding reward seat availability. Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, they'll help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.
