Advice on champagne

Just to provide some feedback on the Kirkland Brut NV Champagne. MrsK and I have sampled a couple of bottles, and while it's nice I wouldn't pay more than $25 for it - there's better stuff in the $45-$50 range. We think Aldi's Monsigny Champagne Brut NV, at $27/bottle is a better choice, but then, each to their own.
Yes, I agree. I prefer the Aldi Monsigny Champagne Brut too. It's less fruity, and I like the crisp Brut.

Thanks, have ordered 6 to give it a try!
The offer is from Langtons I have never drunk any of them and is it worth the price with free delivery?

This is the year when champagne pricing accelerates. I’ve been banging on about this since the very first edition of The Champagne Guide 13 years ago. The writing has been ominously on the wall for the past five years, and this year the crunch has come, as record demand has coincided with spiralling costs of production. The result is record prices and unprecedented scarcity of the most sought-after cuvées. Salon was first, Ruinart second, and it’s Krug’s turn next - expect a price rise in the vicinity of 30% in the coming months. And when Krug moves, others will follow. Though not everyone. Entry non-vintage remains a competitive market and will mostly maintain its exceptional value for money. And not every house will go crazy, with most upholding the recent pattern of annual price increases of 3-5%. Champagne upholds its status as the last remaining bargain of the ultra-premium wine world.

Is there a link to the special? It's showing as $75 a bottle for me.

And to think I promised boomy, penegal and qaz I would bring along a bottle to next OT night coz qaz hasn't tried it yet - might need to re-think this one

Crazy, I bought one through Qantas wine in March 2020 for $279 and I think it came with 5 or 10k Qantas points? With that said David Jones comes up as a far better priced option at $330 or winesquare for a newer vintage.

Must be getting in on the Champagne hype... good thing it's half the price elsewhere :)
You can buy it for $280 from where?

A lot of Champs under the bridge since Mar 2020 - that is like ancient history now

OK yes I see plenty around 330 but if it were 280 anywhere with Dans price match and 5% DM cards it would be a go for me

Seems qaz, penegal and boomy will just have to wait a while longer to get a sample at OT

Whinging much? $560 too high, $330 too high… FFS 🤦‍♂️

You know it’s not 2020 prices anymore.
Even your favourite one increase a lot 💰
