Advice on champagne

Remember DRW is just like a time warp... That bottle has probably been sitting there for a year or two now. At least you know the store is A/C during the day.

Well, I was browsing in a BWS in DRW tonight and what do you think was on the shelf - some World Cup Taittinger !

There was no price tag on the shelf so I took it up to the counter to find out and was told "oh, that's new. Only came in today (!)" , there was no price in the system when they scanned it. I was then told they couldn't sell it as there was no price, (I suggested it must be free - as you do) they said to come back tomorrow and they would know what to charge, but I don't think I will get there.

I was also in vintage cellars just before  and they had quite a few cases of it at about $50/bottle

I wonder if there is another wave of stock coming through and potentially some bargains on their way?
potentially but what's the provenance?

no idea, what is the provenance for everything else BWS sells?

I guess we will soon see if it turns up at BWS's in other states

Interesting that the woollies website has veuve at $60 with 25% off if you buy 6 or more but when you add it to your cart in 6's price does not reduce:evil:

If you have few AMEX cards you can buy them as singles for 33% off after registering the BWS offers and using promo code 5OFFNOW for click and collect.

Veuve Clicquot for $40 at BWS after $15 off AMEX and $5 off click and collect is good price.

Just ordered.

Also had 2000 woolies reward points for a spend over $35 at BWS.

A couple of things to watch out for:

1) I've not had an email or SMS from BWS to confirm my order is ready - which it said would take only an hour.

2) The Woolies reward points and for that matter even the basic points have not tracked into my rewards account. Looks like I'll have to follow that up.

I got spend $40 get 1,000 points but in store only, T&Cs specifically say can't be used on BWS online.

Strange, I got both email and SMS saying ready to collect in less than 15 minute from making the order.

Veuve Clicquot for $40 at BWS after $15 off AMEX and $5 off click and collect is good price.

There is also Piper at $50 - $15 (AMEX) - $5 for C&C.

EDIT: Can't use the extra $5 off since the spend will be less than $50 - doh!!

Yesterday they had a 2 for $80 which would have been ok but that offer isnt coming up today

Seems to have been replaced with Lanson at 2 for $90 (i.e. $35 each with amex and code)

Got a similar offer (higher spend) and the T&Cs say that it is not valid online. Yours might have different terms, but I'd be surprised if that were the case.

My offer makes no mention of excluding online. Also FWIW doesn't state that it can't be used multiple times.

What does yours say? Mine is:

Offer not available at BWS online or Woolworths online."

Rinsed and repeated 6 times . Could get the 5OFFNOW to work more than once but happy with veuve for $45

I've done a single tester. Order confirmation email contained the code 5OFFNOW and also stated it was the first order only. I'll try using it again but suspect it won't work.
