Hey everyone

Just wanted to know if anyone has done the ADL-SIN via SYD, on QF740 6:00 - 8:25 then QF81 9:55?

Seems like a very fine window to xfer to T1, go through customs and then even have a look at the lounge?

Anyone have experience with this and comments on timing?

Thanks all

I believe MCT for DOM to INT for SYD is 60 minutes, which is pushing it IMHO.

90 minutes will not leave you any time to enjoy the lounge really. It can take around 30 minutes to get from the DOM to INT if you don't get the transfer bus timed perfectly (opposite gate 1/2 in SYD). They can run only every 10-20 minutes. Then, if you hit a queue in the INT terminal, which at that hour you likely will, you'll actually be running to your aircraft by the time final call is being made.

I think around 40-50 minutes is the best i've ever done from off inbound aircraft to in the F lounge in SYD.

90 mins might be too short for SYD given the queues at immigration and security in the morning.

Slight correction, the transfer bus now departs from Gate 15 (which is near the satellite concourse). The old transfer area now houses QFLink departures.

I have done the exact same flight a few times, plus ADL-SYD-BKK. Neither option gave me more than a rushed snack at the bar, and a couple of times the best I could manage was a trip to the toilet!!!

Thanks for the clarification. I haven't done a SYD T3 to T1 transfer since early last year :)

Haha looks like it's going to be a hectic morning then!
Of course, you could always do an overnight and stay at the SYD airport hotel on-site (and then lap up the lounge for the full 3 hours, although you don't mention which lounge, i'll assume you mean F?).

Yeh unfortunately I have an inflexible O ticket which means that won't be an option :(

If you cancel an O, it goes back into your account as a credit, but you're charged a $60 fee when you re-book. It's an option possibly :)

This was an expedia.br special so I'll just be happy that I paid a good price haha!
