So I still need to do my token trip for Qantas to maintain my probable no longer attainable platinum lol
Pondering a quick trip from Sydney to Adelaide :) are there hotels close to the airport and easy buses to the city ?

Atura Hotel is right next to ADL airport (and a very nice hotel). Not too expensive, either.

From the airport, there are regular buses to the city (J1 and J2 from memory). You can buy a Metrocard (Adelaide's version of an Opal card) from the kiosk at the airport bus stop.

I'm in Adelaide so if you have any questions please let me know and I will try and help

Is there a need to stay at the airport if you are planning on travelling into the city anyway?

Nope lol. I was just thinking I could go to the city day of landing and then meander back to the airport late night and be close for flight in the am

The Atura Hotel is pretty good if you have an early morning flight, I have stayed at Rydges Adelaide at 1 South Terrace if the room rates for Atura Hotel at the airport are too steep (they seem to fluctuate wildly in price).

ADL is very close to the CBD as far as that goes.

It's a short public bus ride that may take 20 minutes
