Hi all,

Wasn't sure if this belonged in the QFF forum or the AA forum, so please move if necessary.

I need to book some separate international flights directly from AA since my destination isn't an available option on the Qantas website. I'm just wondering if it's possible to add my Qantas FF number to the AA booking either during the booking process or to add it afterwards somehow?

Many thanks :)

You definitely can add it during the booking process. When it asks you to login to AAdvantage, just click ~'proceed as guest', and then there will be a QF option on the drop-down menu where you can enter your QFF number. If you miss it, you should also be able to add it in later through the MMB page :)

Edit: Also, for the best price, it's usually better to book through their US website, and just change the country of residence to Australia during the booking process. You'll likely be charged in $USD :)

You can even create an AAadvantage account ot make it easier to keep track of multiple AA bookings and still insert your QFF number on the ticket.

Wow, I did not know that. I have no interest in earning miles with AAdvantage if QFF miles are available, so I've never risked logging in to my AAdvantage account when booking a ticket I want to earn QFF points on. I'll have to try it next time. Thanks!

I gleaned the trick from another poster on here. It means I can use the AA iphone app to keep track of bookings too - after logging in to the account on the booking page it prefills your number and CC details (if you choose to save them) and you can just delete the AA number then and switch to QF. That being said I'll also mention it and show QF card at check-in just to be safe.

Unfortunately, as of the last week or so this no longer has worked for me.

There have been some significant changes to the web site recently and this is one of the worst (whether it was a side effect of another change or deliberate.)
