Hi everyone,

I made an airBerlin multi-trip booking the other day via Kayak and they didn't ask for my QFF number so I thought I would go on to the AB website afterwards and add my QFF # and it doesn't appear to let me do it!

As these flights will be smack bang in the middle of my trip and my ability to get internet is very sporadic I wanted to be able to sort it all out before I go, especially because I've worked out that it is likely one of the AB flights will push me over to Gold Status! Any one have the same problem or know how to add their QFF number after booking?
I guess the only other option is to make a claim via Qantas' website after I take the flights...

Also I think I have read this in another post before, if you get Gold Status on your travels, but you don't have the physical card, will OW carriers let you into their lounges?

Cheers,
JDog

In my experience you can always put the frequent flyer number in at checkin.

In cases where I had only a NB card but had just become WP, AA at LAX accepted my boarding pass as verification that I was okay to enter their flagship lounge. However, be prepared to do some explaining!

You can put the number in at check-in as beardoc said. A reminder that if the check-in agents can't do it, there should be the option of going to the AB sales desk and getting the manager to put it in for you (perhaps before you attempt check-in, even).

Put the airberlin booking number in the Qantas Manage My Booking part, and it could display and enter the number there.

Thank you all for your help! The Qantas Manage My Booking section worked a treat!! Now I know to keep that one up my sleeve for future reference!! :)
