Adding QFF details to AA award booking (Part 2)

Sorry to replicate a thread, but the old one (http://www.australianfrequentflyer....-advantage/adding-qf-ff-details-aa-22815.html) has been closed due the passage of time.

Had previously thought it possible to replace AA number with QF number in MMB / BP, but was unable to do so and advised by the WP line (twice) that this couldn't be done as the booking was made with AA miles. They did help me out with my seat selection and advised that flashing the card would take care of other WP benefits (check-in, baggage, lounge) but I imagine on-board I shouldn't expect any 'soft' benefits like the elusive WP greeting or F amenity. Bit of a shame!

Call AA and have them remove your AA number from the booking (do not get them to add your QF number as that seems to not work lately). Also get them to tell you the QF shadow reference number.

Then go into the QF MMB with the reference number and add your QF number. Voila!
