Just went to select a seat for an upcoming flight which was booked some time ago and the booking engine has given me the option to add a Plus bundle to my booking. Like baggage it seems to heavily penalise you for adding after your initial booking but could be an option if you are able to get a good price for a TT price match. Very interesting that it allows date/time/name changes too.

I'll be keen to hear of the TT experience from whoever tries it first!

Was both bundles available (max as well)?

No, just the Plus bundle as far as I can see.

I would do it on this sector but my year resets on the 30th and I'm not even close this year so I can't see the value this time around... also my ticket was only $45 price matched so that too!

In that particular case the bundle is pricing out at an extra $95 ? Just checked online and a non-bundle ticket JQ HBA-MEL tomorrow on that exact flight is $99 (without bundle, baggage but before credit card fees). So assuming you paid say $59 for the flight plus taking the $95 bundle the price of the flight goes to say $154 ish for 800 QFF points and 10 SC. Seems remarkably bad value to me.

Or you could book a QF or VA flight HBA-MEL tomorrow for $139 or $129 right now. And earn the points and status credits in their respective FF schemes without having to fly Jetstar.

Seems remarkably bad value to me.

I'm not denying that in this specific instance it is bad value, but there may be another scenario where it could work quite well for someone as the question has been asked quite a few times over the last couple of years and it now appears to be a possibility.

Hmm not showing up for me for an upcoming international flight (booked as a throwaway during a sale because I wasn't sure if I could make it work).
