AccorPlus China

I think the key thing here is post 31 Dec, whether csg001 keeps his Platinum given Accor have said they only consider max 30 bonus nights,

for accor+ which ending 31/12/2025, my friend got the 20 status night on January 2025 and 10 status night on October 2025.
And then he renew the accor+ on December 2025 (+30 status night added directly or the next day and plus 4000reward points for renewing - promotion from telesales), automatically upgraded to Platinum until 2026.

I am trying asking the telesales also, if I renew on December (to get the 4000 reward points) can my + 30 status night added on January 2026 as last year and also inline with the FAQ in the accorplus website (which stated renewing member will got 30 status night on first day of new membership year - 01/01/2026)..
but until now, they can't guarantee that, as what is happening now, the +30 status night added instantly/the next day after paid. don;t know why they already not following what they mentioned in their website.. :(

Generally speaking, when you make big policy changes on a platform not designed for it, there is likely teething issues at the time of the change. Its also often cheaper to just "let it go" as a freebie bonus than spend lots of time and money for a niche once off scenario.

We're basically all going through that once off scenario. How the system will function and deal with it in 2026 could be completely different (or the same). We can only find out when we get there and i doubt anyone except the people that directly coded the changes to the platform knows the real answer.

So far so good, still Accor+ Explorer Platinum until 31/12/2026. Having said that, my status points and nights on the app still hasn't reset to zero.

Anyone game enough to try Accor China in 2026? Perhaps someone that is renewing Accor+ in Jan26, to see whether Accor China's 50 bonus nights cap takes precedence over Accor+'s supposed 30 nights cap. ;)

I wasted US$333 - only got 20 nights which took me to 50 :(

Impossible to get a refund through WeChat.

Don't you still get the free night and 50% off vouchers? Or do you have no plans for ever staying in China in 2026?
No plans at all. Just wanted to get my second account to platinum.

Have initiated chargeback so will see what happens

On what basis? Did you buy the 30 night one and only get 20 nights (or was it because you hit the cap)?
Yeah, interested to know this too.
Not sure why you would need or want 2 accounts at Platinum level regardless.
Unfortunately or fortunately depending on how you look at it Accor does need to weed some of the status folk out and I’d suspect that going forward in the next year or so there will be some more “enhancements” and I think the very real possibility of a spend type model coming into effect.

Bought 30 night one, expected to get 30 nights (and reach Plat as was already at 30), only received 20 nights.

Also on the basis its impossible to communicate with them to seek a refund myself

I got 2 more lots of 2 Stay Plus's via Amex Business Platinum so I have an account with 4 SP in and then my main account (Diamond) which I get through Personal Amex Charge is the one I mostly use, and have done for years. But would've been nice to have Plat perks for the 8 nights with Stay Plus (usually stay at Sofitel etc)

First I bought. The other 30 nights were granted when the new Accor account was set up by Amex
Ah - there's a 50 night cap with Accor China cards from using cards so perhaps the Amex nights counted towards that?

Yeah I assume thats what happened - but there were several DPs of it working for others which is why I took a gamble

I too believe there is (was?) a hard cap of 50 nights when mixing in Accor China (overriding new Accor+ 30 nights cap), which is why I went for the mid-tier option (20 bonus nights). The gamble I took was to see whether the 10 bonus nights received on 1st Oct counted towards the cap or not, which it clearly didn't in my case so it must be tagged as something different in the backend.

Is it just me or has the night counter not reset for the year?

I was hoping for it to be zero before renewal to make sure the nights go to the right year.

There is always some lag.
Can be a few days before it resets but the date of your checkout is the year that they will credit to. I usually check after a week and everything is normal by then
