Does anyone know how you go about paying with points when the Accor booking engine defaults to requesting credit card details?

Context:
I'm booking a Mantra property and given the poor Accor earn rate paying with points seems the best option.

Pay with points shows as a valid option.

However, proceeding through the booking process it jumps straight to requesting credit card details.

Because this is a semi-flex with full payment due at T-30 days, waiting to check-in isn't an option.

Before I email the hotel direct, has anyone encountered this before and if so, how was it resolved?

Payment with points, in my experience, is only a feature on the app.
Wait, to clarify, you can use points in check in when you are physically at the hotel, too.

I've found it's easiest to phone them when wanting to use points. Sometimes they come up with offers (eg including car parking at a discount) that aren't offered on line. You can't use points if booking a Red Hot Room.
