I have maybe 20 nights / 12 locations to book in France for June 2026.

Can anyone suggest if there might be an optimal time to make these bookings? For instance is there usually a Black Friday booking sale, or even a Europe sale anytime?

It varies @RooFlyer. Much less consistent than the Coles & Woolies sale cycle IMO.

You could consider replicating approach.

I typically book flexible rates at hotels in suitable locations as soon as I know my rough plans.

I then check periodically or when sale emails drop for a lower price.

The recent 20% off for App based bookings saved me ~$50/night in MUC at CDG and HND.

In all three cases I rebooked cheaper flex rates.

Closer to the date of travel will book non-refundable when I’m confident the itinerary won’t have major changes and if there are cheaper rates.

That's what I usually do but I don't have much luck in jagging the sweet spot when rates might fall.

Will be more alert!

I know it's an external service with a fee, but you could try ratedrop.net - the gold tier would give you 10 bookings at $15/month. I know it's been discussed here previously, but essentially it rebooks your accom and then sends you an email letting you know to cancel the old booking, with different tiers enabling more bookings and a greater number of rate drops. I've saved AUD$473.40 so far. For instance, the Sofitel SYD Darling Harbour I have 2 nights coming up in November and it's taken me down $146, or 11% so far. Adelaide next year I have a 4-night stay that's gone down $256 or 15%.

Depends on what hotels you book, many Sofitel, SO, Mondrain, Mgallery Collection, Hyde, 25 Hours or similar offers have 3rd or 4th night free under Accor HERA. This usually workout out the best value.

You keep on posting this without providing any evidence, nor declaring your vested interest. OP has stated where and when in terms of country and month, how about you post some rates vs what’s available at say Paris for two nights in June? 20 nights across 12 locations suggest three night stays are the exception rather than the rule.
