Accor ALL Signature Discussion

Does anyone know about this? I signed up to Signature monthly plan earlier in the year -glad I did as I will end the year with 57 nights including freebies, but will retain Platinum because of the mo they status point credits. Thanks @sudoer for saving me the need for a mattress run.

Am I able to cancel the monthly plan and immediately take up a discounted annual plan like the one mentioned by @VPS above, or are the discounts only offered to “new” members?

It may be possible to do that, but I'd caution that you are possibly / likely on a lower rate now than you would be if you signed up again with the discount. I'm also on the monthly Signature plan which I pay at R560 a month, and apparently it will keep renewing at the rate you signed up for (according to this article at Loyalty Lobby). The same plan if you signed up today is R649 a month, or R591 with the 9% discount (a 5.5% increase over my current rate).

The Black Friday sale / discount that's likely to be coming up was 15% last time, and would effectively bring it down to R552 a month as a new sub, but you have to pay the annual amount up front to get that discount, and I'd suggest the small difference in price still puts the monthly plan ahead. YMMV.

Cheers,
Matt.

I’ve been using this “hack” for a few years now to maintain Platinum. (I’ve also used ALL China but currently doing this instead). I just maintain subscription until I think I have enough points and stop and resubscribe closer to the end of the year when I think I won’t be hitting the requirements. Now that ALL has limited the number of free status nights accepted (eg via ALL China) this may be the best way forward.

Interesting.

I took the annual option at R6,726 and it's due to renew next month.

It will be interesting to see if it rolls over at my subscription rate or the current published price of R7,788.

If it's the higher price then I don't see any benefit in remaining annual.

According to that linked article and clarification with ALL Brazil, it should renew at the sign-up price, so the sale pricing is really only good for new sign-ups or those who come and go, who would otherwise be paying a higher rate

I went for the one month option as it worked out at ~AU$136 for 5000 reward points. Points are a fixed 1000 reward points = €20 so the 5000 is worth €100 currently ~AU$176 (~22% discount).

I did the purchase and then cancelled the subscription right away so if a black Friday deal does come up at the end of November I'll be free to tack advantage of it.

New subscriptions will renew next year at 7788 but you never know, the BRL might devalue and they raise the price to 8888 in which case renewing at 7788 will look like a bargain

Would you please report back? I originally took monthly as there was no saving for taking annual and it gave flexibility to drop out for a few months once goals attained. But I'm interested in the potential Black Friday discounts which seem usually to be on the annual.

I haven't confirmed of course but I did read on FlyerTalk that renewals from.last year will renew at the older price. Not sure if I'll renew it though as the exchange rate has gone up and made it less attractive.

In my posts above I’ve pointed to content on Loyalty Lobby where this was confirmed by members, and then directly with ALL Brazil (at that time). The renewal is at your sign up price

Doesn't seem that bad? I would call last year a bit of an aberration, it was a particularly good time to take up the offer, but I've been subscribed since 2023 and the rate then was 1 AUD = 3.27 BRL and I considered it a deal then, 2024 was 1 AUD = 3.73 BRL which was a no brainer for me and current rate is 1 AUD = 3.57 BRL so I would still consider it great value.
