Hi all,

I am travelling to LAX with 3 work colleagues this Sunday, they are all flying Virgin and I am with Qantas. Just wondering if I can pay to get into the Virgin International Lounge, regardless of the fact I am flying with Qantas?

Thanks

TT

It's the AirNZ koru lounge, so suggest starting there. I have not heard of paid entry but may be worth calling. They may be able to guest you (but normally you need to be on their flight). Its also a fair walk from the QANTAS LAX gates.

Virgin doesn't have their own lounge at SYD International. They use the NZ lounge.

If your colleagues gain access through Velocity status, they can bring you in. Virgin's guest policy doesn't seem to say the guest must travel on the same flight as the member (unless it's buried in the T&C's somewhere).

If they gain access because they're flying business class, then no.

None of them can gain access through Velocity Status...I assume that there's no such thing as pay per entry in International as they do in domestic (if that still exist)? I am Gold with Qantas but would rather sit with them in an outside pub than being in the lounge by myself...

Thanks

Last month my daughter was flying J on TG so had access for herself only to the Sydney Koru Club, so her friend who was flying Y with a Chinese carrier was able to pay $65 for access

It must have gone up. I paid for access to the MEL NZ lounge last year when I was flying QR, and it was $55 back then.

There was a reference on the NZ page about it and the price but I can't see it anymore.

My brother is in a similar predicament. He is flying in PE on NZ & has paid membership to VA's The Lounge.

Will he be able to use Koru Club at SYD Intl courtesy of the VA Lounge membership?

No, VA Lounge membership is only for their domestic lounges and won't get him into any lounges at international terminals - he might be able to buy a day pass for access to the Koru Club lounge, might be worthwhile him emailing them to ask.

A friend of mine flew to LAX with ANZ and was able to buy a day pass for the Koru Lounge in SYD. I can't remember how much it was but he is a tight cough and wouldn't of paid much.

VA lounge membership will get your into the Air NZ lounge ex SYD/MEL/BNE when flying to NZ.

How about this situation?
SYD-ZQN (queenstown NZ), syd int T1 , 2 adults and 1 infant (under 2). Assuming 1 of the adults has VA lounge pass, can I enter with my wife and my child? :)
Also does that mean I can enter into the NZ lounge in ZQN when returning to SYD?

My brother's status match came through for TK's 'Miles & Smiles' so he's now got Star Gold lounge access for his LAX trip on NZ.
