Hi, I'm flying on an international Jetstar flight tomorrow. Ticket acquired on Qantas FF points and i'm a QF Platinum. Not sure if this question has been posed before, but am I able to access the Qantas Syd First Class lounge before we board?

Many thanks

Yes, no problems at all accessing the lounge.

Thanks markis10, that's what I thought. However, rang up Qantas premium FF desk this afternoon and they informed me this wasn't the case. I guess i'll show up and try my luck.

I have had no issues on a number of occasions. Its also in the access rules:

[TH]Platinum Frequent Flyer
[/TH]
Next onward flight must be on a Qantas^, Emirates^, Jetstar Airlines+ or oneworld flight number.#
One guest allowed and must be travelling with the member on the same flight.

You will have no issue atall getting into the F Lounge on JQ International. Indeed many of us have used said lounge when flying domestic on an International Leg between MEL/SYD and SYD/MEL in Particular

What is Most disappointing is that the person on the premium desk should have been well aware of this given that they are the best of the best with in the QF customer Care Team. Poor very poor

Enjoy the lounge and have a great trip :D

Thanks for the quick replies all. I can taste that salt and pepper squid already. Cheers

A little OT but I think there might have been some call centre diversions in place today. My first attempt at getting through to the Premium Desk was a total fail today. Put through to the regular desk after entering FF number. Thought the operator sounded a bit inexperienced, realised this was the case when she asked me for my QFF number and didn't know what an ASA was. I thanked her politely and asked to be transferred to the Platinum desk.
Problem solved itself ;)

At SYD you will at least have the lounge open all day.

At Perth I was on a Jetstar Bali flight a couple of weeks ago and couldn't go into the business lounge as there were no QA international flights leaving within 90 minutes, so they had closed the Lounge.

Had my son with me & a freebie for his mate who was travelling with us :(

I think QC members in Perth should get a discount as we have damn all international flights anymore with QA.
