Certainly a fantastic career 'innings"
Imagine the amount of 'enhancements" she has endured..
Would be a honour to share a dinner & listen to some of the stories from this lovely lady. :D

I've had the pleasure of being looked after by a couple of old charmers on AA. They were efficient, professional and utterly delightful.

I'm impressed, she has lasted longer than many airlines themselves.

Fascinating insight into a very changing world.

I probably don't share the romance of being served by some of the older AA crew - I had one cabin crew lean on the tray table in F and say "So whadoyouwanna drink?" It was a different experience for me...

Also fascinating that AA were hiring their first new crew in 12 years

Great read. It is FAs like this that make me enjoy flying US legacy carriers. So many fascinating stories!

Agreed, a great story, and to keep FAing till 75 would seem to mean she really loved the job! Which is exactly the sort of FA you wish for.

And exactly the sort of job one would wish for. A job to love.

However, I do wonder about the ability of elderly ladies (or men, for that matter) to perform some of the more physical tasks expected in an emergency situation. Even just helping get carryon bags into the overheads could be a struggle for some of the frailer.

My daughter say, "But what about some of the Asian airlines? Their cabin crew are light and tiny - like butterflies!"
