AA tells Italians to fly to USA for pizza

I find this rather hilarious...

On the Italian version of the American Airlines website, AA has a giant banner advertising American pizza. To Italians.

What Italian is going to say "gee, the one thing we don't have here is good pizza, I think I'll book a flight to Chicago"?!

Well you can’t blame them, they think that black sludge they drink over there is coffee.

Geez I prefer Hells pizza in NZ to the American pizza I've tried. Still keen to try the Chicago deep dish one day but I am confused why the US thinks they do good pizza!

And you should hear the Americans complain about the Pizzas in Italy and the rest of Europe. And the complaints on cruise ships which actually serve pretty decent pizza in the main. The really nice thin crispy ones with slight scorching and plenty of herbs and not much cheese. Americans hate em.

Fresh ingredients and minimal toppings are the key. Not the deep dish stuff... that's just.....no.

Any wonder why there are so many American cruise goers on mobility Scooters and/or with diabetes? But then that’s why the politicians support the multi-trillion dollar pharma industry. Someone needs to make America great again.

Back on topic, I’m on board with the simpler is better pizza approach. But I’m also impartial to a few different pizzas on the Crust menu too

They’re two totally different products, of course. And you can’t compare them. Each has their place (I love chicago deep dish pizza).

Seeking ice to eskimos, or pizzas in america to italians. Something a tiny bit creative from AA’s advertising department that will at least generate publicity.
