Im trying to book QF Business Domestic on AA.com Used to be so easy pre NOV22 aka b4 vJoyce got his bonus. Now AA.com is full of phantome QF C Domestic seats that appear all the way through booking until post seat selection (which isnt possible on AA.com anyway) Whats the story? Anyone else having problems? Almost half the points and fewer taxes than booking through QF.com

If not already, maybe check the seat is available on QF.com. If it is and you’re still getting problems, maybe a temp glitch in AA.

Are you on the AA.com USA website? The AU site is daylight robbery.

I don’t have enough points (currently 0), so I can’t get to the payment… But that was for a random flight that was showing on QF for 18pts/$40 v AA 20pts/US$14.

In September I succeeded in booking a business class award on AA.com for a QF flight in Australia. I wasn't able to complete the transaction online, though, so wound up calling the reservations line and getting transferred to an award agent, and the agent was able to book it. So perhaps try that if you haven't already.

In the meantime, I have another business rewards story that happened just yesterday. Expert Flyer was showing 3 business reward seats available on a different QF flight within Australia. I looked tried looking the flight up on up on AA.com but only economy rewards were available. I then tried Alaska Air -- ditto. In a desperation move, I finally looked it up on British Airways, and there they were -- 3 business class reward seats, and half the points that Qantas wanted on its own website. I transferred some American Express points to BA and was able to get the two tickets I needed.

Wishing you luck!!

AA have reduced the amount of Saver awards available. Needs to be saver to book as a QF award. Many to most AA awards are now web specials or dynamic, which are not bookable as a QF award. Will get worse as AA are rumoured (bloggers) to be elimate saver awards sometime in the future.

Are your referring to booking AA operated flights via QF or v.v?

So what is the point of being in an Alliance where none of your Premium seats are available? All it encourages is for the other Alliance members to make no Premium seats available to your customers (aka Qatar with Qantas).

Even looking on AA own site for my internal flights using their Dynamic pricing is like 75000 points between EWR-MIA. Very few Saver on their own site.

Booked a QF Award ADL-MEL yesterday - the problem is QF have very few frequent flyer seats in Business and Eco on their own website, so AA can only offer its FFlyers what QF offers its own FFlyers. This is despite the hype from Joycie about thousands of award seats being available. Have a look at VA and it has many awards seats in C/Y on its own network

I did and I pose the same question. You have VA providing a lot of Business award seats and United with their Dynamic pricing little to none.
