AA pax finds dead rat in checked luggage

Likely the dead rat got in prior to checkin
GPS track all rats.

Seriously burn the whole bag because Ratatouille was found inside. Like cremating the whole house with the body.

If you have ever had a dead rat fall down in between your house walls you will know that the smell is appalling. That alone might drive me to very very reluctantly dispense with the lot. Btw, the best way to hasten the dear ratus smell to go away is to buy activated carbon from the pet shop and put it out in the room.

I would be tossing the bag/never using it again. Nope, not going to reuse it ever again.

I understand the touchiness rat mice can be for some

The only thing worse would be a live rat.
Oh you have a new picture sorry avatar did not recognise you. Live rat is more pet friendly for those into pets.

30 years ago we were driving in the NT.Stopped at a motel in Tennant Creek.Saw mice in the room so left early.Stopped at the Devil's Marbles.Opened up a case and out pops a very much alive mouse.
Hard to get the press involved out there in those days.Or indeed to buy a new bag.

We had mice in Alice when there for work one time. Quite a well known motel but there was a plague on so not much anyone could do. We had them in the work materials and also ran up one guy’s leg when we were sitting outside. I don’t mind mice but rats are not so cute!
