4 days in NY, then a crazy SC run!!
AA1165 NEW YORK JFK 07:10 MIAMI INTL 10:20 B762
AA602 MIAMI INTL 12:40 DALLAS FW 14:45 A 2:55 B757
AA278 DALLAS FWTH 15:25 ANCHORAGE 19:10 B757
AA290 ANCHORAGE 22:05 CHICAGO OHR 06:55 B757
AA1184 CHICAGO OHR 12:35 NEWARK 15:55 MD80
AA119 NEWARK 18:50 LOS ANGELES 22:00 B757
CX881 LOS ANGELES 01:40 HONG KONG 07:15 B77A
Couple of questions for the forum.
1. Am I correct choosing BA for the LHR-JFK flight?
My initial reasons were
1. Departure from T5 and better lounges,
2. BA true-flat bed (versus AA lie-flat)
3. 747 upper deck
I also think I would have saved AA fuel fines by not booking AA? (AA ticketed DONE4)
Downsides probably less chance of an upgrade.
2. Do I have too many flights on a 757 ??
To / from ANC I don't have a choice!
The original ORD-EWR route was picked with a flight about 2 hrs later to give me time to go into Chicago central as a break, and was on a CR7, however the flight times changed and the original flight now misconnects the 1hr D-D MCT in EWR (crazy given MCT in JFK and DFW is much less). EWR was picked so I could get the First SCs (JFK has the 3-class planes so would book into Biz)
Having looked at it a bit further now seems I can fly ORD-BOS-LAX on 738/ 763 or ORD-MIA-LAX on 763/ 763 (earlier flights) 757 / 762 (later flights).
I gather the 763s are lie flat, whereas the 757/ 762 are more standard business.
Is this worth another $125 change fee (will be the 3rd!!) for better comfort on the cross-country ??
3. If the answer is Yes and change it to BOS, would you risk a 30min connection in BOS (right on the MCT). If missed means back to the later 757 to LAX.
