Does anybody know why AA isn't currently codesharing on QF103/104?

It's listed on EF as "flight cancelled" for all dates I could see:

If you try to book a HNL-SYD flight on AA, it sends you back through LAX. In fact you can get a much cheaper business return ticket flying SYD-LAX//LAX-HNL//HNL-LAX-SYD than SYD-LAX return (price seems coordinated for that fare).

Is HNL excluded from the JV?

What I'm trying to do is book SYD-LAX//LAX-HNL//HNL-SYD - I can book it on AA but the last leg goes back through LAX (so means three flights between LAX-HNL which is ridiculous). If you try to book on Qantas it won't give you a fare because of the LAX-HNL leg.

I'll probably just book SYD-LAX//HNL-SYD on QF which it lets you do (and book LAX-HNL separately), but I found this very weird.

QF fares have always allowed SYD-LAX, LAX-HNL, HNL-SYD on S class and higher fares. I can confirm that even now it prices fine.

So it is. It definitely wasn't working when I posted this. It only worked then if the LAX-HNL and HNL-SYD flights were within a certain period (I think 24 hours?).

Having said all this, it prices it the same as SYD-LAX return with the stopover fee.

It's actually cheaper (far cheaper - like $1000 cheaper) to book it SYD-LAX//HNL-SYD and book LAX-HNL separately which is what I did. I can book LAX-HNL first class and pay for the resort and I'm still ahead.
